Amir Muqam assures reconstruction of Shangla roads

 

SHANGLA: Federal minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan affairs, Amir Muqam, has assured reconstruction of Shangla roads in the coming months.

Federal Minister and President of PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Amir Muqam visited Pishlor, Martung tehsil of Shangla on Sunday to offer condolences to the families of the victims of the Kotke tragedy.

Six friends were killed and two others were injured in a tragic road accident in the Kotkay area of Alpuri in Shangla. The deceased were residents of Pishlor and Gujar Banda and were close friends.

The Federal Minister offered Fateha for the deceased at Jamia Masjid Pishlor and expressed heartfelt sympathy to the affected families.

The Federal Minister said that this is an irreparable loss, and we stand with the affected families in this difficult time. He assured that he would talk to the Prime Minister for special financial aid so that all possible help can be provided to the affected families.

Mr Muqam said Shangla comprised hard terrains and its roads were not a good condition; however, as he continued the district uplift, more projects for the roads would be initiated in the coming months to make the roads safer for travel.

He said that the incumbent government was striving for the prosperity and development of the country despite combating the terrorism challenges.

The deceased in the tragedy were Shah Faisal, son of Muhammad Naqeeb, Amir Sohail, son of Mujtaba, Fazlullah, son of Talab Khan, Rahamdullah, son of Amani Malik, and Salman, son of Parvez, who belonged to Pishlor, while the late Naseeb Zar belonged to Gujjar Banda.

Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam assured all possible support to the affected families and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.
