ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and SAFRON, as well as President of PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, criticised the recent comments made by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, calling them “irresponsible and provocative.”
In a statement released on Saturday, Engr Amir Muqam expressed concern that the Chief Minister’s remarks not only represent a misuse of his official capacity but also incite unrest among innocent individuals. “Rather than steering the province towards stability and development, the Chief Minister is once again promoting chaos and violence—and, as usual, he will vanish when the repercussions arise,” he stated.
He emphasised the troubling nature of an elected Chief Minister, urging workers to take up arms against the state. “This is a blatant effort to sow panic and undermine law and order in the country,” he remarked, adding that such statements disrespect the office of the Chief Minister.
Engr Amir Muqam further asserted that such rhetoric exposes the true intentions of those wishing to destabilise the nation, particularly at a time when the federal government, under Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, is diligently working to revive the economy and restore public trust.
“These individuals are frustrated because the PML-N government has successfully set the nation back on the road to economic recovery,” he said, adding, “Their malicious plans to derail the country’s progress will ultimately fail.”
He urged the public and political leaders to reject divisive politics marked by hate and instead stand united for peace, progress, and national stability.
