Amir Muqam expresses deep grief over Swat river tragedy, criticises KP govt

PESHAWAR: Federal Minister Engr Amir Muqam on Sunday visited flood-affected areas of Shangla district to review relief and rescue operations. Speaking to victims at Puran Shangla, he said his visit was in line with the special instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is personally monitoring the relief efforts.

During the visit, the Minister ordered the immediate transfer of a severely injured child to Peshawar for medical treatment and assured the family of financial assistance and complete support. He also met flood victims in Gunbad Chagam Dara and visited Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Puran, to inquire after the injured.

Engr Amir Muqam expressed condolences to the affected families and personally provided financial assistance. At the relief camp in Aloch, Puran, he appreciated the role of volunteers and reaffirmed that the rehabilitation process would be accelerated.

He further assured that the federal government would provide all required resources and that no victim would be left unattended.
