Swabi: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, SAFRON, and President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, has reiterated that under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, PML-N has once again fulfilled its commitment to development and relief for Pakistan and its citizens.
Speaking at a public gathering in Chota Lahore, District Swabi, Muqam highlighted that the current government averted an economic default, ensured stability, and is now steering the country towards growth and prosperity. He noted that inflation, which had skyrocketed to 40% during the PTI’s tenure, has been significantly reduced to 4% due to the efforts of the PML-N-led government.
Muqam credited Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif for providing relief to the people by tackling inflation and prioritizing the nation’s welfare over political gains. He accused the PTI of mismanaging the economy, misusing funds, and engaging in corruption, including the alleged embezzlement of £190 million and the sale of expensive foreign gifts for personal profit.

He recalled that during Nawaz Sharif’s previous term from 2013 to 2018, load-shedding and terrorism were effectively addressed, while inflation remained at record lows and development reached unprecedented levels. In contrast, he claimed that PTI’s rule brought back these challenges and introduced widespread corruption.
Muqam criticized PTI’s governance in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), stating that despite being in power for over a decade, the province saw little progress. He argued that PML-N, if given the opportunity, would have provided laptops, motorcycles, quality education, and job opportunities to K-P’s youth, similar to its initiatives in Punjab. He also mentioned that programs like *Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar* and Kisan Cards, which benefited the poor and farmers in Punjab, would have been extended to K-P under PML-N’s leadership.
Muqam concluded by asserting that only Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are genuinely focused on public service and development, emphasizing PML-N’s commitment to improving the lives of all Pakistanis.
