Another spell of rain in KP from tomorrow: PDMA

Four killed, nine injured as continues rain wreak havoc across KP

 

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) predicted a fresh spell of rain likely to lash most districts of the province tomorrow evening. This spell of the rains is to continue till April 20.

A statement issued by the PDMA said that intermittent rain with thunderstorms is likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Malakand, Buner, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Waziristan, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Bannu, Karak and Kohat.

PDMA has issued a letter to all district administrations to deal with any untoward incident due to rains in advance

The district administration has also been instructed to ensure the availability of small and large machinery to deal with any untoward incident in advance.

During the rains, the public should stay away from power lines, dilapidated buildings and structures, signboards and billboards.

Tourists and the local population in sensitive upper areas have been instructed to take precautionary measures to stay informed about weather conditions.
