PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has strongly condemned the yesterday Bannu attack, expressing deep concern over the central and provincial governments’ apparent indifference and negligence toward the safety of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s people.
In a statement, the party highlighted the daily struggles of residents, particularly in southern districts, who live under constant threat of terrorism, violence, and insecurity.
The ANP criticized the lack of seriousness in addressing terrorism, calling it a national problem that demands urgent action. The party emphasized that the people of Pakhtunkhwa have made immense sacrifices, yet their suffering continues to be ignored.
“We can no longer bear the deaths of our innocent brothers and sisters,” the statement read.

The ANP questioned the government’s commitment to protecting lives in Pakhtunkhwa, demanding immediate and concrete steps to improve law and order in the region. The party stressed that mere statements are insufficient and called for practical measures to ensure peace and security.
The ANP also appealed to all political parties, civil society, and the public to unite against terrorism and stand in solidarity with the people of Pakhtunkhwa. “We want our children to live in peace and security,” the statement added.
Reiterating its commitment to the people of Pakhtunkhwa, the ANP vowed to continue fighting for their rights and holding the government accountable for its responsibility to protect lives.
