PESHAWAR;The Awami National Party (ANP) has filed an adjournment motion in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, calling for an urgent discussion on the worsening law and order situation in the province.
ANP parliamentary leader Arbab Usman submitted the motion, highlighting the escalating violence, including target killings and explosions, which have claimed the lives of scholars, security personnel, and innocent civilians.
The motion emphasized that terrorism has reached alarming levels, creating widespread fear and anxiety among residents.
Under Rule 73 of the assembly, the ANP seeks a detailed debate to address the crisis and implement effective measures to restore peace.
The party warned that the deteriorating security situation demands immediate attention to prevent further loss of life and instability in the region.
No immediate response has been reported from the provincial government regarding the motion.
