Peshawar: Awami National Party (ANP) MPA Nisar Baz has criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, claiming that development funds for merged tribal districts depend on federal payments, leaving residents suffering due to disputes between the two governments.
Speaking to Pakhtun Digital, Baz alleged both administrations lack sincerity toward the region. He also condemned the federal government’s proposal to impose a 10% tax in tribal areas, calling it unjust for communities already devastated by terrorism.
“How can people scarred by conflict afford such taxes?” he questioned, urging authorities to prioritize rehabilitation over additional financial burdens.
