Arbab Khizr Hayat Urges Immediate Action Amid Rising Insurgency in KP, Balochistan

PESHAWAR: Arbab Khizr Hayat, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has demanded the immediate imposition of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, citing a worsening law and order situation in both provinces.

In an exclusive interview with Pakhtun Digital, Hayat criticized the provincial governments for their failure to address rising security challenges.

Hayat accused the chief ministers of KP and Balochistan of inadequate leadership, claiming they have done little to condemn or combat recent terrorist attacks.

He warned that delaying action could lead to the provinces falling into the hands of insurgents, forcing residents to flee.

“If we give more time to these governments, we fear the provinces will fall into insurgents’ hands,” Hayat said. He emphasized that without restoring law and order, the country cannot progress.

The PML-N leader’s remarks come amid a surge in violent incidents in both provinces, raising concerns about the effectiveness of current governance and security measures.
