PESHAWAR: Airport Security Force (ASF) claimed to have foiled a drug smuggling attempt at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar.
According to the details, ASF officers discovered 980 grams of ice heroin in a passenger’s luggage.
The suspect, Muhammad Wali, hid the drugs inside his bag. ASF officials detected the contraband during routine checks. The seized drugs are worth over Rs 10 million.
ASF handed the suspect and drugs to the ANF for legal action. Authorities have increased airport surveillance to stop smuggling and protect passengers.
