DUBAI: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has unveiled the official schedule for the highly anticipated Asia Cup 2025, highlighting a blockbuster clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India.
Set to be played in the T20I format, the tournament will run from September 9 to 28, 2025, in the United Arab Emirates.
The event will feature eight teams divided into two groups. Group A includes Pakistan, India, Oman, and the UAE, while Group B comprises Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage, with the best two from that round facing off in the final on September 28.
The marquee match between Pakistan and India is scheduled for September 14, and is expected to be one of the tournament’s most watched encounters. The competition will begin with Afghanistan taking on Hong Kong in the opening fixture on September 9.
ACC President Mohsin Naqvi had earlier shared the announcement on his official X account, expressing enthusiasm for the tournament and the excitement it promises to bring.
