SWABI: Two police personnel were shot dead by unknown attackers in Swabi district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), late Friday night.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the IDS police station. The victims were identified as Constable Jamal Uddin and driver Zahid. Eyewitnesses said they were having dinner at a local restaurant while on duty when assailants opened fire, killing them on the spot.
No group or terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, and the motive remains unclear.
The police department has not issued an official statement, but KP police have increasingly been targeted by militants, with attacks rising over the past two years.
