Azerbaijan condemns Indian attack on Pakistan, calls for restraint

BAKU: Azerbaijan has expressed deep concern over the escalating hostilities between India and Pakistan, strongly condemning New Delhi’s recent military strikes on Pakistani territory.

In an official letter addressed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Azerbaijani government conveyed its alarm over the situation and criticized the Indian military’s actions. The letter was delivered by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, along with a message of solidarity from Baku.

“We condemn the military attacks against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries,” read a statement from Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.

The statement extended condolences to the families of those killed and wished a swift recovery to the injured, reaffirming Azerbaijan’s support for Pakistan during this tense period.

Calling for restraint, the Azerbaijani government urged all parties to pursue a diplomatic resolution to the conflict.

The condemnation comes after Indian forces carried out air strikes on multiple locations across Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir late Tuesday night.calls
