Azma Bukhari Denies PTI Founder's Sisters' Arrest

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has refuted claims that the sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder were arrested by Punjab Police. In a strongly worded statement, she dismissed the allegations as a staged act to garner false sympathy.

Bukhari clarified that no women, including the PTI founder’s sisters, were detained by the police. Instead, she claimed that PTI workers voluntarily entered a police van and later disembarked at Khawaja Service Station. She described the incident as a “flop show” orchestrated to manipulate public sentiment.

The minister further criticized the PTI leadership, stating that while its founder is “living royally” in jail, his wife Bushra Bibi continues to demand high-end facilities despite being granted B-class privileges.

Bukhari accused PTI of double standards, saying, “On one hand, they apologize, and on the other, they conspire.” She claimed that even PTI workers are growing weary of what she called their “riotous politics.”

Mocking the party’s past rhetoric, she added, “Their leadership once promised revolution from home while their workers faced humiliation on the streets. Now, even that cycle has ended.”
