BAJAUR: The district administration of Bajaur has launched a stringent crackdown on the unauthorized hike in LPG prices in Khar Bazaar, ahead of Ramadan.
Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali, Assistant Commissioner (Headquarters) Dr. Sadiq Ali conducted inspections and uncovered that several shopkeepers were selling LPG at Rs 320 per kg, significantly higher than the government-mandated rate of Rs 250 per kg.
The official price for an 11.8 kg cylinder is Rs 2,953.
During the inspection, three shops were sealed for violating the prescribed rates, and multiple shopkeepers were arrested.

The aim is to ensure that LPG is supplied to the public at the officially fixed prices, safeguarding consumer interests.
