BAJAUR: The District Administration of Bajaur has announced a three-day curfew in multiple villages of Tehsil Loe Mamund to ensure public safety during ongoing anti-militant operations. The restrictions will remain in effect from July 29 (5 AM) to July 31 (5 PM), 2025.
The decision was taken following recommendations from the District Intelligence Coordination Committee (DICC), citing the need to prevent any untoward incidents during targeted security actions. Deputy Commissioner Bajaur issued the order under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), 1898, banning all movement outside homes and on roads in the affected areas.
The curfew covers 16 villages, including Bad-e-Siah, Tarkho, Irab, Gat, Agra, Khurchai, Dawagai, Kalan, Legharai, Kitkot, Gillai, Nakhtar, Zarai, Dambarai, Amanata, and Zagai. Residents are strictly advised to comply with the order, as violators will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The administration has directed authorities to widely publicize the order through the Government Gazette, print and electronic media, and by displaying notices in prominent locations across Bajaur. The restrictions may be modified or withdrawn earlier if the security situation improves.
This measure aims to maintain peace, security, and public order amid heightened counter-terrorism efforts in the region.
