BAJAUR:  A district-wide shutter-down strike and peace march will occur today in Bajaur to protest escalating security threats. All markets remain closed as residents rally against rising terrorism, including Friday’s killing of march organizer Maulana Khan Zeb by unidentified attackers.

The murder has intensified grief and anger across Bajaur, galvanizing participation in the peace march. Political parties, business leaders, civil society, and government employees will join convoys from across the district converging in Khar—the main rally point.

The demonstration responds to a surge in extremism, with organizers demanding immediate government action to restore stability.
