BAJAUR: Bajaur Police have launched a district-wide operation targeting underage and undocumented motorcycle riders, impounding dozens of bikes. The crackdown aims to reduce road accidents and enhance public safety given the current security situation.
According to a press release issued on Friday, police established special checkpoints at key locations and highways. Officers took “vigorous action,” resulting in numerous motorcycles being seized and parked at various police stations.
District Police Officer (DPO) Bajaur has directed all police personnel to strictly enforce the crackdown, emphasizing that no leniency should be shown to underage or unlicensed riders. The DPO stated this enforcement is crucial for ensuring road safety and protecting the lives and property of the public.
