BANNU: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP Police successfully thwarted a terrorist attack on Bakakhel Police Station late tonight. A group of 13 to 15 heavily armed militants opened fire with light and heavy weapons, but police personnel retaliated bravely, forcing the attackers to flee.
All police officers at the station remained safe during the encounter. SHO Khalid Khan and his team responded with strong resistance, preventing any casualties or damage.
Inspector General (IG) KP Police Zulfiqar Hameed and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sajjad Khan praised the bravery of the Bakakhel police team. They reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating terrorism completely.
The KP Police stated that they remain “always alert and ready to give a befitting reply to terrorists.”

Yesterday law enforcement agencies foiled a potential terrorist attempt in the jurisdiction of Ghoriwala Police Station, Bannu, through timely action.
Police received information about a suspicious bag and immediately called in the Bomb Disposal Squad.
Upon inspection, the bag was found to contain two hand grenades and other explosive materials.
Bomb Dispisal Squad safely defused all the explosives, successfully preventing a major tragedy.
