The police in the Bannu district successfully shot down a quadcopter by jamming its system, which inadvertently injured several terrorists when the drone fell on them. This timely action thwarted an attempt by the terrorists to launch an attack using drones.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sajjad Khan stated that the police and security forces have collaboratively developed an effective and comprehensive strategy to combat terrorism. He mentioned that they are employing armoured personnel carriers (APCs), drones, thermal weapons, and other modern equipment to achieve this goal.
According to security sources, the remote areas of Bannu, Bakakhel, and Miryan have become hotspots for terrorist activities. The police have previously conducted successful operations based on intelligence, resulting in significant achievements in the regions of Miryan, Burganto, and Mandan.
