Bannu’s volleyball stars celebrated after U-19 World Championship performance

Four young volleyball players from Bannu were given a grand welcome upon their return from the U-19 World Championship in Uzbekistan. Tayyab Khan, Jibran Khan, Mukhtar Ali Shah, and Saud Khan, who represented Pakistan in the tournament, were greeted with flowers, cheers, and drum beats at the Bannu Sports Complex.

BANNU: Four young volleyball players from Bannu were given a grand welcome upon their return from the U-19 World Championship in Uzbekistan. Tayyab Khan, Jibran Khan, Mukhtar Ali Shah, and Saud Khan, who represented Pakistan in the tournament, were greeted with flowers, cheers, and drum beats at the Bannu Sports Complex.

The players, part of a national team that included five athletes from Bannu, were praised for their outstanding performance despite limited training facilities compared to other regions. Regional Sports Officer Dr. Hazratullah, District Sports Association officials, coach Laik Khan, and a large crowd welcomed the athletes, honoring their hard work and dedication.

Speakers at the event highlighted that Bannu’s strong representation in the national team was a result of relentless efforts by both players and coaches. The athletes expressed gratitude for the warm reception, saying it motivated them to work harder and bring more glory to Pakistan in future competitions.
