PESHAWAR: Advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Saif rejected baseless news regarding imposition of Curfew in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that life in the province is going on as usual, except imposition of curfew in Bajaur and Miransha.
In a statement, he said that the curfew is limited to specific areas of Bajaur and Miranshah, and news of the curfew is political propaganda, an attempt is being made to mislead the public. He said that rumour-mongering mafia wants to spoil the province’s journey to peace and development, saying that the government’s focus is on public service while the opposition’s focus is on spreading lies.
Barrister Saif added that movement in the province is completely free, commercial activities are normal, and the public should not listen to rumours, but trust only official information. He said that action will be taken against those spreading lies on social media.
Barrister Saif criticised the opposition for spreading false propaganda to create fear in the province and develop a trust deficit between the PTI leadership and its workers. He urged the masses to avoid any propaganda and fake news and remain united under the PTI banners to develop the province.
It is important to mention here that the prolonged imposition of curfew in Bajaur has badly affected the routine lives of the people, and people consider that this operation would extend to other parts of the province.
