Beyond stickers: The real upgrades in Honda’s CG150

Atlas Honda has rolled out two new models for Pakistani customers, the CG150 and its first-ever electric scooter, Icon e. This dual launch marks a significant expansion in both traditional and electric two-wheeler options for the local market.

For years, Pakistan’s motorcycle market has seen minor updates—mostly just fresh stickers on old models. But Atlas Honda has finally broken the cycle, launching its first all-new motorcycle in six years: the CG150.

Priced at Rs. 459,900, the CG150 enters a competitive segment, going head-to-head with the Suzuki GS150 (which has a similar engine but a lower price) and the Yamaha YBR 125 (a smaller 125cc bike at nearly the same cost).

What Makes the CG150 Stand Out?

  • Engine: Likely a 150cc OHC (same as Honda’s CB150F)

  • Smoother Ride: Equipped with a balancer shaft to reduce vibrations

  • Design: Shares styling cues with the CB150F, including similar engine casings

While official specs are still under wraps, the CG150 marks a rare step forward in Pakistan’s motorcycle industry—moving beyond cosmetic changes to deliver a genuinely new model.
