Bilawal, KP governor, other leaders condemn police tear gas at PPP protest in Peshawar

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and other PPP leaders have condemned the attack on a PPP rally in Peshawar in connection with the Save the Province Movement and said that the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has tried unsuccessfully to hide the worst corruption by blocking the path of peaceful protest.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the shelling of tear gas on peaceful political workers protesting against lawlessness and unemployment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was regrettable. “We are not afraid of low tactics, we will continue to pursue the corrupt and incompetent provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” the PPP chairman said.
The PPP Chairman said that the PTI government had shown cowardice by torturing unarmed political workers. “Save the Province” movement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has today become the voice of every citizen of the province.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi termed the provincial government’s attack on the PPP protest demonstration in Peshawar as undemocratic and a clear proof of the provincial government’s panic. He said that the strong public participation in the protest demonstration under the Save the Province campaign had made the provincial government’s efforts to crack down on peaceful protesters a mistake. The success of the PPP is proof of its public popularity. He said that I pay tribute and congratulate the party’s leadership and workers on this protest demonstration.
