BNP ends 20 days long protest sit-in in Mastung

QUETTA: Balochistan National Party (Mengal) has called off its ongoing sit-in Mastrung on Wednesday.
“Due to the challenges of the people, I announce to end of the 20 days long protest sit-in near the Lakpass tunnel in Mastung,” The BNP-M Chief Akhtar Mengal said.

The demonstrators were demanding the release of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) chief organiser Dr Mahrang Baloch and other female activists arrested last month who were arrested for anti-state speeches and exciting the masses.

Addressing the protesters, Akhtar Mental said that the BNP would organise protest rallies in all districts of the province.

He said that the next line of action will be decided in the party’s central cabinet meeting on April 18.
