HAZARA: President Wahdat-ul-Madaris Islamia Pakistan, Sheikh-ul-Quran Maulana Muhammad Tayyab Taheri, said that in today’s modern era, the combination of religious and contemporary education is the biggest need of the hour, and those who create confrontation between the two are enemies of the country.
Addressing a meeting of Wahdat Madaris Islamia in Hazara Division, he said that it is necessary to not only enlighten the students of Madaris with the true spirit of religion, but also to prepare them with modern scientific and intellectual requirements would be their top priority.
He expressed serious reservations about the current role of the media and said that some journalists, acting as tools of a foreign agenda, make unfounded allegations against scholars and religious madaris. This behaviour of the media is extremely irresponsible and causes social unrest.
Maulana Tayyab Taheri demanded that the government and media houses take immediate notice of this trend and take strict action against those who spread such negative propaganda. Every incompetent person is posing as a journalist in the media, and an attempt is made to confuse the students of Madaris by asking them unnecessary questions.
“It is a need of the hour to stop the behaviour of such so-called journalists and to give a positive direction to the role of the media.” Maulana Muhammad Tayyab Taheri said that the mission of Wahdat Al-Madaris Al-Islamiya is to raise the educational standards of madrasas in according with modern requirements and establish a balanced system between religious and contemporary sciences, so that the new generation can achieve success in both the fields of knowledge and practice.
