Businessman robbed of 3.8 million rupees in broad daylight in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: In broad daylight, armed robbers looted 3.8 million rupees from a businessman at gunpoint in the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Peshawar.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Shaheed Gulfat Hussain Police Station near Government School No. 2. The trader, identified as Zulfiqar, was shot and injured while resisting the robbers.

Upon receiving information about the incident, City Division Superintendent of Police (SP) Khalid Khan, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hastnagari Circle Zahoor Khan, the Station House Officer (SHO), and investigators arrived at the crime scene to collect evidence. The injured trader was shifted to a hospital for treatment.

The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under robbery charges against unidentified suspects.

Police officials informed reporters that the case has been registered and is being thoroughly investigated from multiple angles. They expressed confidence that the robbers would be apprehended soon and brought to justice
