ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has issued an official notification for the formation of a three-member committee of senators for cooperation with the media.
The committee includes Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Senior PTI leader Senator Ali Zafar and Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentary leader in the Senate Senator Sherry Rehman are included in the committee.
The committee will work with the Parliamentary Reporters Association (PRA) to ensure effective cooperation, the notification said. In the past, journalists had protested regarding coverage and problems faced by them.
Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had decided to form a committee to resolve the problems of journalists. Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani included members in the committee who themselves have been part of the media in the past.
