Charsadda Police arrests five accuses involved in terrorists attacks

Mansehra police rescue abducted child, kidnappers eliminated

CHARSADDA: Tangi Police, during a major crackdown, arrested five suspects involved in the attack on Gundheri police and seized heavy weapons and hand grenades from their possession.

On the instructions of District Police Officer Charsadda Muhammad Waqas Khan, Tangi Police Station arrested five dangerous suspects involved in the attack on a police party in Gundheri, while two declared criminals were also arrested during the operation. A large quantity of weapons, a hand grenade and hundreds of cartridges of different bores were recovered during the operation.

On July 23, 2025, in-charge of Gundheri outpost Zafar Khan was on a routine patrol along with other personnel when six armed suspects suddenly opened fire on the police party, as a result of which in-charge of outpost Zafar Khan and driver Shakeel were injured while the police mobile was also damaged. The attackers managed to escape, taking advantage of the darkness of the night.

Taking notice of the incident, District Police Officer Charsadda Muhammad Waqas Khan formed a special team led by DSP Tangi Gulshed Khan, SHO Tangi Police Station Bismillah Jan and other officers, who took immediate action and traced the attackers.

During the operation, five accused, Shamshad son of Khan Badshah, Khaista Badshah son of Khan Badshah, Inam son of Shamshad, Naushad son of Khan Badshah and Shahab son of Khaista Badshah, residents of Gundheri Tangi, were arrested. One M4-16, one Kalashnikov, five pistols and hundreds of cartridges of different bores were recovered from the possession of the accused, while one Kalashnikov and a hand grenade were also recovered from another accused.

During further operation, two declared criminals wanted by the police in serious cases, Adil son of Amir Rehman and Amjad son of Amir Rehman, residents of Ijarah Kalay Tangi, were also arrested.
