ABBOTTABAD: Abbottabad Police, acting on directives from District Police Chief Omar Tufail (PSP), arrested a man accused of raping and murdering a 13-year-old girl.
According to a complaint filed by the victim’s father from Samundar Khatta Nagari Bala, his daughter worked as a maid at the home of Haris Latif (son of Shahid Latif) in Habibullah Colony’s Street No. 9. The father alleged that Latif tortured, raped, and killed the girl overnight.
Mirpur Police Station swiftly arrested the accused following the report. A case has been registered against Latif under Section 302 (murder), 376 (rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code, and Section 53 of the Child Protection Act. Further investigation is underway.
