PESHAWAR: A sudden drop in temperature hit Peshawar on Wednesday as drizzle and icy winds swept through the city, bringing chilly weather conditions.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, several regions, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and the Potohar region, are expected to experience rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, most other areas of the country are likely to remain dry, with daytime temperatures staying warm in the plains.

In the capital, Islamabad, and surrounding areas, partly cloudy skies with strong winds and thunderstorms have been forecast. Popular tourist destinations such as Murree and Galiyat may also see cloudy weather, gusty winds, and possible thunderstorms.
While most districts in Punjab are expected to stay dry, isolated rain with wind and thunderstorms could occur in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum.
The shift in weather comes after a recent rise in temperatures across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, raising questions about further rainfall in the coming days.
