China assures support to Pakistan after Indian provocations

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Saturday. They discussed the evolving regional situation and agreed to maintain close communication and coordination.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the all-weather strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, according to a statement from the Foreign Office.

Sources said Dar briefed the Chinese ambassador on Pakistan’s position regarding India’s allegations after the Pahalgam incident.

He also highlighted India’s provocative actions, including the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty and threats to block water flow.

Dar made it clear that blocking Pakistan’s water is absolutely unacceptable and would be seen as an act of war.

The Chinese ambassador listened carefully to Pakistan’s concerns. He assured Pakistan of China’s cooperation, diplomatic consultation, and support for regional peace and stability.

China also expressed concern over India’s actions. It pledged to continue supporting Pakistan at the diplomatic level.
