Chitral A wins Parishandur Polo Festival after thrilling 5-4 victory over Chitral Scouts A

Chitral A triumphed in the final match of the Parishandur Polo Festival, edging past Chitral Scouts A with a close 5-4 victory to lift the championship title. The intense final match brought the 15-day festival to a thrilling close in the scenic Parishandur valley.

Adnan Ahmed of Chitral A was named Man of the Tournament for his outstanding performance throughout the event. Meanwhile, the Best Horse award was presented to the horse of Chitral Scouts A’s team captain, Subedar Israr Wali Khan, recognising the animal’s agility and strength on the field.

The Provincial Minister for Sports, Syed Fakhar Jahan, graced the final as the chief guest. Following the conclusion of the match, the minister and other dignitaries departed for Peshawar. Due to their immediate departure, some of the prize distributions were delayed, but will be delivered to the recipients by the District Administration.

This year’s Parishandur Polo Festival, a major local sporting and cultural event, concluded successfully after fifteen days of competitive matches and community celebration.

Preparations are now underway for the upcoming Shandur Polo Festival, scheduled to take place from June 20 to 22. Selection for the Chitral teams will begin immediately after Eid.
