Chitrali TikToker Sana Yousaf Shot Dead in Islamabad, Police Launch Investigation
Sana Yousaf, a popular TikToker from Chitral, was shot dead in Islamabad late Sunday night, triggering shock and outrage across social media platforms. The 24-year-old content creator had over 500,000 followers and was known for her lifestyle and cultural videos.
According to police sources, the incident took place in the G-9 sector of the capital. Sana was reportedly returning from a private event when unidentified assailants opened fire on her vehicle. She sustained multiple bullet wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Islamabad police have launched a full-scale investigation into the murder. Initial reports suggest the possibility of personal enmity, but authorities are also exploring other angles, including online harassment and threats she may have received prior to the incident.
“We are collecting CCTV footage and have already recorded statements from her family and friends,” said a police spokesperson. “No arrests have been made so far, but we are pursuing multiple leads.”
The news of Sana Yousaf’s death has sparked a wave of grief and condemnation on social media, with many demanding swift justice and better protection for female influencers and digital content creators.
Her body has been shifted to PIMS Hospital for autopsy. Funeral arrangements are being made in her hometown of Chitral, where she will be laid to rest.
