CM Gandapur approves 500 million endowment fund for KP artists

 KP CM vows to allocate more funds to education in upcoming budget

PESHAWAR:In a major boost for local artists, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister CM  Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur has announced a new Rs 500 million endowment fund. This fund is specifically designed to support the province’s artists and craftsmen.

The Chief Minister made the announcement during a ceremony in Peshawar where honorary cheques were distributed to artists. He praised artists, calling them the “mirror and positive face of society” who help identify social problems and inspire reform through their work. Gandapur stressed that artists’ talents cannot be utilized without providing them proper opportunities.

He also highlighted the significant sacrifices artists made alongside security forces during the fight against terrorism, stating these sacrifices will not be forgotten. The government is committed to solving artists’ problems, he added.

In a further step, CM Gandapur announced that the number of artists receiving direct financial assistance from the government will be doubled. He emphasized that the current provincial government is using all available resources to promote art, culture, and craftsmanship in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
