In an exclusive interview with Pakhtun Digital, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Arbab Khizar Hayat Khan claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is likely to step down from his position soon. Khan cited internal differences within the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and mounting challenges as key reasons for Gandapur’s potential resignation. He emphasized that the KP government, under Gandapur’s leadership, has struggled to address critical economic, security, and administrative issues.

Khan criticized the PTI for focusing on protests against the federal government instead of resolving provincial matters. He contrasted Gandapur’s performance with that of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, praising her leadership and attributing Punjab’s effective governance to PMLN’s vision and progressive strategies. According to Khan, Gandapur’s inability to manage KP’s challenges has led the PTI to consider replacing him, with speculation that he and other dissident party members may explore new political avenues.
