Controversy over appointment of MS intensifies in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD: Controversy over the appointment of a Medical Superintendent at the district Headquarters Hospital Abbottabad has intensified as the new superintendent broke the lock and took charge of the Hospital.

While rejecting the appointment of Dr. Israr as medical superintendent, Dr Moazam said that there are serious allegations of corruption against Dr Israr and the doctors’ community is not ready to accept him as a medical superintendent. They further said that if the previous superintendent was not restored by Monday. The doctors will lock the doors of the OPDs. Last night the Dr Israr broke the locks of the hospital and took charge as per the instructions of the health authorities. After his appointment, all the doctors are on a protest and demanding the restoration of the previous medical superintendent for DHQ Abbottabad.
