ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) initiated an inquiry against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, citing allegations of corruption amounting to millions of rupees in the recruitment of revenue officers in his hometown, Dera Ismail Khan.
Media reports indicate that Gandapur was involved in corrupt practices related to the recruitment of Patwaris in the Dera Ismail Khan district. It is alleged that Rs336 million was taken as bribes from 36 candidates.
Additionally, allegations of corruption and irregularities have surfaced regarding the World Food Program.
Reports suggest that ghost employees were recruited for the Benazir Nishmonama Program, leading to embezzlement of Rs799 million in salaries. Furthermore, it has been revealed that goods intended for the Benazir Nishmonama Program were sold on the open market. As a result of these irregularities, the World Food Program has decided to close the Benazir Nishmonama Program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to reports, NAB has launched an investigation against Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and his alleged associates.
