A couple belonging to Faisalabad were shot dead in a suspected honour killing by the slain woman’s cousins in the Maliano Kaly area of Mardan on Saturday night.

According to the police, Zafar Iqbal had married a woman of his choice 17 years ago and had come as a guest to his brother’s house.
According to the police, five suspects entered his house and opened fire, killing both the husband and wife on the spot.
The police have shifted both bodies to the hospital for post-mortem and have started an investigation into the incident.
