BAJAUR: An explosion hit the residence of Member National Assembly (MNA) Mubarak Zeb, a close aide to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on Wednesday night. The blast destroyed the main gate of the lawmaker’s house but caused no casualties.
In a Facebook post shortly after the attack, Zeb stated: “The main gate of my house has been blown up with a bomb. Thank God there has been no loss of life.”The defiant politician added: “No one can demoralize me with these cowardly acts. I will continue the vision of my martyred brother. Insha Allah.”
Police and security forces rushed to the scene and have launched an investigation into the nature of the blast. Preliminary reports confirm no injuries were reported. Authorities are working to determine who was behind the attack, as no terrorist group has claimed responsibility so far.
