JEDDAH: Cristiano Ronaldo, even at 40, continues to defy age and add to his remarkable legacy, recently achieving another historic milestone.
In the Saudi Arabian Super Cup final against Al Ahli, Ronaldo scored his 100th goal for Al Nassr. Although the match ended 2-2, Al Ahli clinched the trophy through a penalty shootout. With this achievement, Ronaldo became the first footballer in history to score 100 or more goals for four different clubs: 145 for Manchester United, 450 for Real Madrid, 101 for Juventus, and now 100 for Al Nassr.
The Portuguese legend reached the 100-goal mark for his current club in just 113 appearances, though he is yet to win a major trophy in Saudi Arabia. On June 26, 2025, Ronaldo extended his stay with Al Nassr by signing a new two-year contract, keeping him at the club beyond the age of 42. The deal is reported to be the most lucrative in sports history, worth around £492 million ($625 million), including bonuses and additional perks.
In addition to his record-breaking salary, Ronaldo was appointed Global Ambassador for the Esports World Cup 2025. Internationally, he remains Portugal’s all-time leading scorer with 138 goals. Overall, CR7 has netted 939 career goals and is now edging closer to the unprecedented milestone of 1,000 goals.
