Curfew imposed in Razmak subdivision of North Waziristan amid security concerns

Partial curfew imposed in Upper and Lower South Waziristan

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: The district administration of North Waziristan has imposed a day-long curfew in the Razmak subdivision on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in response to heightened security concerns in the area.

According to the official notification, the curfew will be in effect from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, during which all civilian movement will be strictly prohibited.

The curfew will specifically apply to the area between Nawaz Kot Bridge and Melogai Bridge, a zone identified by authorities as sensitive in light of current security assessments. Residents have been instructed to remain indoors for the duration of the curfew and avoid any unnecessary movement.

The local administration has urged the public to fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure the success of ongoing security operations and preventive measures. Officials have emphasized that the curfew is a temporary but necessary step to maintain law and order and prevent any potential threats to public safety.

“We request all residents to stay inside their homes during the curfew hours and extend their full support to security personnel. These steps are being taken purely in the interest of collective safety.”

Authorities have also warned that any violation of the curfew restrictions could result in legal action under applicable laws. Additional security personnel have been deployed in the area to ensure strict enforcement of the curfew and to monitor the situation closely.

This curfew follows a series of similar measures implemented in recent months across North Waziristan, where security forces continue efforts to stabilize the region amid ongoing challenges.
