ISLAMABAD : Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and discussed strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States. The meeting covered cooperation in economy, trade, investment, IT, artificial intelligence (AI), and counter-terrorism.
Dar described the meeting as “productive” and said both sides reaffirmed their commitment to a long-term partnership. Regional and global issues, including the recent Pakistan-India ceasefire, were also discussed. Dar appreciated the US’s constructive role in reducing tensions between Pakistan and India.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of close coordination in multilateral forums such as the United Nations Security Council. He expressed confidence that continued dialogue and mutual respect would lead to a more stable and prosperous future for both nations.
