Dassault Aviation has officially denied claims that its Chairman and CEO, Eric Trappier, made any operational or technical comments regarding the use of Rafale fighter jets in the reported “Sindoor” operation.
This clarification comes in response to recent press reports that quoted Trappier discussing the deployment and effectiveness of the Rafale aircraft during the operation. In a statement released by Dassault Aviation, the French aerospace company firmly rejected these reports, asserting that the quotes attributed to Trappier were inaccurate and misleading.
“Dassault Aviation formally denies that Eric Trappier has made any operational or technical comments regarding the use of the Rafale in this operation,” the company stated. It further emphasised its commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and refraining from public statements about the strategic or tactical use of its aircraft by any country.
The Rafale is a twin-engine multirole fighter jet developed by Dassault Aviation and is in service with several air forces worldwide, including those of France, India, Egypt, and others. While the “Sindoor” operation has garnered media attention, Dassault reiterated that any commentary suggesting insider knowledge or endorsement from its leadership is unfounded.
