Days of Modi’s government are numbered: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that the days of Modi’s government are numbered, and there is huge criticism against him inside and outside Indian parliament.

He said that Modi tried to wrap up the issue in his address to the nation yesterday, but the issue cannot be wrapped up as it has become so scattered. The Defence Minister predicted that Modi’s days are numbered and the people of India will decide. Khawaja Asif said that three issues will be discussed in the talks with India, terrorism is part of the agenda, which the world will now decide for itself, because the Prime Minister himself had offered to investigate terrorism. The Defence Minister said that Pakistan has suffered the most from terrorism, Pakistan’s war on terrorism should be recognised, we have been victims of terrorism for the last 25 years, and this is also being blamed on us.

He said that the second issue on the agenda of the talks is Kashmir, which should be discussed. Regarding the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, the Defence Minister said that an attempt was made to make the water issue controversial, and it could not be terminated unilaterally by one party. Describing India as an international terrorist, Khawaja Asif said that India itself has been carrying out terrorism for many years. We have been fighting against India on the eastern and western fronts for the last 25 years. He said that evidence of India’s terrorism is also present in Canada and the United States, and the evidence should come to light in these talks.
