SWAT: A deadbody was found in Deolai Fazalabad, Tehsil Kabal here on Sunday.
Police identified the victim as Azmat Ali and launched an investigation after registering an FIR against unknown assailants.
According to SHO Gohar Khan of Shah Dherai Police Station, they received a report about a slaughtered body found in the jurisdiction of Shah Dheri, Fazalabad.
Police arrived at the scene and took custody of the body, which was later shifted to the hospital for necessary procedures.
Upon receiving the information, police personnel reached the crime scene and took custody of the body.
Following a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, an FIR was registered against unknown assailants. After completing the necessary legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family.
Meanwhile, police have launched a thorough investigation to arrest those responsible for the murder.
