PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government spokesperson Barrister Saif has strongly criticised Governor Faisal Karim Kundi for writing to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for renaming Islamabad Airport after Benazir Bhutto.
In a statement, he said that the Governor’s priorities are only to please his masters, he has nothing to do with the challenges and issues of the province.
“These days, the role of the Governor House is just like a post office, where a rejected postman sits. The poor Governor has no other work, he can only write letters,” Barrister Saif said.
In the same breath, he said the Governor should also write a letter to the Federation for the rights and arrears of the province.
The governor should write a letter to the federation requesting payment of the province’s arrears and to end stepmother-like treatment with the province.
He said that Faisal Karim Kundi should request the centre to give the full share of the province in the NFC award.
He said that like Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the governor should also do something for the welfare of the province.
