ISLAMABAD: Director General ISPR Lt-Gen Ahmed Sharif and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar will jointly brief the top leadership of all political parties on Sunday (today) regarding the current national security situation.
The high-level briefing will address national security, focusing on Pakistan-India relations and the implications of recent developments, as reported by state media.
Participants will be informed about the defencive readiness of Pakistan’s armed forces, ongoing diplomatic efforts, and the state’s stance on key issues.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a phone call with Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday, expressing Pakistan’s serious concerns over rising tensions in South Asia due to India’s provocative actions following the Pahalgam incident.
Shehbaz Sharif firmly rejected any attempt to link Pakistan to the incident without evidence and reiterated Pakistan’s call for an international, transparent, and neutral investigation into the incident. He also welcomed Malaysia’s potential involvement in the investigation.
