ABBOTTABAD: Divisional Inspector General of Police (DIG), Hazara Division, has taken prompt action against the police personnel for asking personal and irrelevant questions to a foreign vlogger who had posted the video on her YouTube account and later went viral on social media.
In a statement issued by DIG Hazara, Nasir Mahmood Satti, he expressed his strong disapproval of the unnecessary questions directed at a foreign female tourist by police personnel. As a result of this incident, Less Head Constable Khairur Rehman has been suspended, and show cause notices have been issued to Constables Shahid and Waseem. DPO Battagram, Muhammad Ayaz Khan, has been appointed as the inquiry officer and will conduct a thorough investigation, submitting a report to DIG Hazara as soon as possible.
DIG Hazara Nasir Mahmood Satti emphasised that maintaining discipline, adopting a professional attitude, and fostering a tourist-friendly environment—along with ensuring the personal and financial security of tourists are among the top priorities for the Hazara Police. He stated that any negligence or irresponsible behaviour will not be tolerated.

Furthermore, he announced that under the direction of IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, a workshop or training session will be organised in the future. This initiative aims to promote better manners and a friendly attitude among police employees towards foreign tourists, ensuring that such incidents do not occur again and helping to maintain the positive public image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in regard to the safety and conduct towards tourists worldwide.
