Disappointed over lack of sportsmanship in Pak-India match: Mohsin Naqvi

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that he was disappointed to see no sportsmanship in the Pakistan-India match.

He said that dragging politics into sports is against its true spirit of the sports. Mohsin Naqvi says that he hopes that all teams will celebrate future victories with dignity and good manners. On the other hand, Pakistani team manager Naveed Akram Cheema said that the Indian players’ failure to shake hands is against sportsmanship.

He said that at the time of the toss, the match referee requested the captains not to shake hands. It should be noted that during the sixth match of the T20 Asia Cup 2025, there was a distance between the players of the Pakistan and Indian teams.

At the time of the toss of the most important match of the event, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav did not shake hands with Pakistani captain Salman Ali Agha. There were no moments of communication between the players of the two teams during the match.

At the end of the match, the Indian batters went to the dressing room without shaking hands with the Pakistani players.
